Help us help others. . .
By sharing your favorite recipies

You can help people who need help now, simply by sharing recipes for your favorite dishes! Pink Lemonade ™ is creating a series of cookbooks where all profits will go directly to cancer patients in financial distress. We’re not asking for your money, but we’re hoping that you will help.

Really? Recipes for charity?
What can I do?

It’s easy. Simply jot down your favorite recipe and tell us a little tale to go along with it. Your story doesn’t have to be long-a short paragraph, or even a few lines will do. The point is, we want to know about you! Tell us a little about yourself, or someone you love. Is this somebody’s favorite dish? If so, tell us whose and why. Is it a family tradition? Is there a strange special ingredient involved? Did a treasured relative hand it down to you? Did anything funny happen when it was served? What is it about your dish that makes it so special? Your story can be serious, silly, or sentimental. You can tell us in two lines or two paragraphs. It’s up to you!

This is your chance to tell us your story,
and to help others while you do!

Enter often, in as many books and categories as you like. But a word to the wise: we know that we’ll receive more desserts and main dishes than we can use right away. To increase your chances of making it into the first editions, be sure to send recipes for other categories, too. (Don’t worry, while we may not be able to use every dish right away, we hope to give every entry a happy home.) Don’t wait, do it right away! The deadline for submissions for the first edition is only a short time away. Please don’t delay!

Serve It Up!
CHOWING DOWN ON HOME COOKING

Comfort foods from across America-these are the dishes that make you feel all warm and happy inside, at any time of the year. But we’re not talking about the usual meatloaf and mashed potatoes kind of comfort foods. We’re looking for any dish that gives you that happy glow-and we’d like to know why it makes you feel so darned good. Old-fashioned and traditional is always welcome, but don’t be afraid to send in your exotic or ethnic dishes. America is a melting pot, so anything goes!

Lighten Up!
VEGGING OUT WITH MEATLESS MEALS

It’s easy to become a greenie-weenie! There are more options for lighter, meatless meals than ever before. Nowadays, you’re no longer limited to salads when you want to lighten up-there are delicious vegetarian dishes to be had from all over the world. Share your favorites and show others that going vegetarian isn’t so scary anymore. Help people learn to lighten up and shed that heavy feeling by letting go of those old carnivorous instincts-even if it’s only part time. They’ll be surprised at how good they feel, and they’ll want to feel that way again. Help us spread that sensation by sharing your favortie vegetarian dishes and telling us what they do for you!

Pucker Up!
LEARNING TO LOVE THE LEMON

When life gives you lemons, make Lemon Meringue Pie! And Lemon Chicken, and Lemon Salmon, and Lemon Bars, and Lemon Pancakes, and . . . oh yeah, and lemonade! If you have a lemon tree in your yard, then your ship has just come in. Tell us how the lovely lemon has made your life lighter and brighter. Now is your chance to use up those extra lemons and share all of those weird and wonderful lemon recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And, of course, dessert. Always dessert!

Live It Up!
RECIPES FOR A HAPPIER LIFE

This is not so much a cookbook as it is a collection of ideas for living a healthier or happier life. While recipes for foods are certainly welcome, we’re also looking for recipes for life! Tell us what works for you. What cheers you up, gives you energy, or just makes you feel better? What lifts your spirits and feeds your soul? We’re creating a collection of ideas to help others make it through their tough times. You can write about hobbies, activities, exercises, treatments, relationships . . . anythingthat has helped you or a loved one to make it through the dark days. Don’t worry about a recipe format, in 1500 words or less, just tell us about something that worked for you-no matter what that something is. Imagine if your idea were to make all the difference in somebody else’s life!

General categories-or what can I send in?

The recipe categories listed below are simply guidelines. Consider them as inspiration. If you have an interesting dish that doesn’t quite fit anywhere, send it in anyway. Either we’ll find a place for it, or we’ll create a brand new category. (If you have a simple story or a “recipe for life” then don’t worry too much about the categories below. That book is taking on a shape all it’s own.)

Help us do some good in the world!

In the months ahead, as these books go on sale, we will host a page that lists the help that we provide and the people who benefit from your generosity. You’ll be able to see the good that your recipes are doing, and know that with every one you send in, we’ll be able to do that much more.
